Clae has selected this very turning disc to include in its tool collection.  These turning discs are used on the wheel during turning to help keep the pot firmly on the wheel  The disc allows you to evenly distribute pressure on the pot while turning, meaning that pushing through the tops of bowls is a thing of the past.
 
To extend the life of this tool, clean and dry after use.
