Service Description
This 4 week course is Thursdays at 7.15 pm and begins on 16th of November. Come and learn how to throw pottery on the wheel. This class has been designed for complete beginners or those already marginally experienced with the wheel. Learn how to make a small collection of useful items. You will be using our vintage Leach Pottery Kick Wheels to help you to learn how to throw clay on the wheel in a calm and meditative way. Over the 4 weeks you will complete a small variety of objects, including how to glaze them too. This is a great opportunity to understand the basics of wheel throwing under expert guidance. Fees include a 2kg clay starter pack and tuition. You will need to purchase a Clae Throwing Kit for the class which will have all basic tools included $25. Glazing and finishing for the following four weeks is at the tutor’s discretion. Eftpos will be available on site for purchasing additional tools, materials or clay as you wish. Additionally, you will need to bring: - an apron - lidded bucket Please note - If you are unable to make the class please consider gifting it to someone else as we do not provide refunds.
