Clae has created this collection of cutting tools just for you!  All are designed and made in New Zealand.
 
RIMU KNIFE -  160mm x 25mm. This tool is made of reclaimed Rimu and is suitable for use as a knife, on the wheel, or to shape clay.
 
BRASS KNIVES   These bespoke brass knives have been designed by Clae and made in New Zealand.  They are inspired by the the shadows of rocks and pebbles found in the braided rivers of the Rakaia, Waimakariri and Rakitata on the Canterbury plains of Te Waipounamu.  The Brass Knives have been finished with a simple rubbed satin surface that will continue to patina and weather as you use it.

STANDARD CLAE CUTTER - The perfect clay cutter for the New Zealand potter, with beautiful ceramic pebble ends.
 
FINE CLAE CUTTER - The best clay cutter for those cutting fine white clay or porcelain off the wheel, complete with lovely ceramic pebble ends.
 
ANGLE CUTTER -  This angle cutter is designed to cut 30, 45, and 60 degree angles and is perfect for creating bevels when constructing slab projects. The Angle cutters are made for Clae by local artisan Roger using recycled Rimu. This tool measures 15cm x 5cm and has screws which make it easy to re-tension.
 
WIGGLE WIRE -  These wires have been created by Clae to enable you to texture your slabs. Just use the wire to cut through your slab and you have two pieces of textured clay read to be made into something fabulous. Wiggle wires can also be used to cut vessels off the wheel - but make sure you have enough clae in the base to cut successfully!  Each wire as a ceramic pebble at each end for grip.
