The POTTERS WORKBOOK has been designed and made by Clae and is perfect for both beginers and experienced potters. It is hand-bound and includes plenty of pages to plot out the next pottery project, as well as record glaze test results. This journal will keep all your notes together and help you to develop your skills.In additon it is packed with extras, including help pages, stencils to assist with design, tables for recording tests, and a brass ruler.
Each volume is 30cm tall by 18 cm wide.
GLAZE: A SMALL GLAZE HANDBOOK is for the potter ready to start exploring glaze and developing their own glaze palette.
It is packed with easy to read information about glaze, glaze testing, and glaze application, and has an extensive glossary with all those glazing terms you are not sure about.
This book is designed as a glaze learning programme that you can work through at your own pace, and had lots of space for note-taking and results recording.
If you are interested in the small handbook, you might also consider the Glaze Box, a kitset which has handbook as well as glaze materials and glazing tools.
MATERIALS: SAMPLE BOOK is a must for potters interested in using natural materials in their work. It has pictures and text about the journey of collecting and using local materials from Canterbury in ceramics. It was written as part of an extensive art project for The Necessary Traditions Festival in 2018. Included is a lovely introduction by Juliet Arnott from Rekindle and a poster showcasing the diverse earth pallette discovered.
