This beautiful bespoke decoration celebrates the unique diversity of nature!
This Mt Cook Buttercup flower is finely crafted from New Zealand porcelain decorated with gold leaf and golden glass beads.
It is hanging on a olive green ribbon that could be changed out with another of your own choice after the festive season to hang all year around.
The Mt Cook Buttercup was misnamed as a lily for many years but it turns out that it is the worlds largest buttercup instead! The plants grow well over a meter and can have leaves that are up to 2 feet across, they can be found in the valleys of our alpine regions and flower from October to February.
The 2025 bespoke studio decoration was crafted in remembrance of my mum and my first Christmas without her. She was an avid gardener and always marveled at how botanical nature was so magical, appearing against odds in its own time.
The buttercup represents resilience and new beginnings...I think she would have loved this!
This would make a perfect gift for someone special or to add to your own heirloom decoration collection. It measures appx 15 x 15cm and is finished for hanging on a green ribbon, it is packaged in a Kraft Box that features a design adapted from one of my paintings.
Each are individually made and vary slightly from flower to flower.
